I bought my
first Oriental in 1987. Her name was *Ariane* and
surname *Poupounne*. That's with her, I began my first cat
show and the breeding for the best and the worst.
Orientals
and siamese cats are both expressive and excessive.They
are " hyper" cats in the positive and in the
negative side.
.
Loving cats, they like cuddles but sometimes can be
obstinate too. So they are cats with whom get
never bored.
They are talkative and I used to speak with my *Poupounne*
who answers me modulating her voice following my
questions.
I knew someone who
called his siamese on the phone ;
the cat was alone at his
home, he picked up the phone to converse with his owner ;
of
course, the cat never rang up after the conversation!
Intelligence is
the best quality which defines an Oriental or Siamese. I
often compare them to little monkeys playing jokes, being
brimful of vitality.
I comparison
with other breeds, I think that they don't sleep so much.
Always on the alert, to see what you do and mainly what
you cook because a
siamese is a greedy cat ! A pure
contradiction with its feline standard which requires a
very slender cat ! the opposite of a "little
barrel" ! It's a very active cat but get few reserves
due to its morphology, some coat to keep it warm. So, it
needs to eat often to make up for its calorific loss.
The bestfriend
of a Siamese or Oriental is the fridge ! But after you,
for sure.
